Operations Research Analyst
1 full-time position available (40 hours per week)
Job Duties:
Stay current with regulations and industry standards related to gas station and convenience store operations, including safety, health, and environmental requirements. Ensure compliance with applicable laws in product development and operations. Identify and evaluate emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in the industry. Recommend solutions and strategies to improve efficiency, customer satisfaction, and profitability. Monitor and analyze performance of products, services, and promotions by reviewing sales data, margins, and customer feedback. Research consumer trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics; identify opportunities for new products or services. Evaluate and manage relationships with vendors and suppliers, including contract negotiations, supplier assessments, and performance monitoring. Coordinate maintenance and repair activities. Travel once per month to Jefferson City, Missouri, to meet with executives (typically 24–48 hours).
Minimum Requirements:
· Master’s degree in operations research, applied mathematics, statistics, industrial engineering, industrial management, technology management, computer science, economics, business analytics, or a related field.
· One (1) year of experience in related occupations within the analytical or regulatory fields.
· Experience with the following:
o Data Management Tools: SQL, Microsoft Access
o Data Analysis Tools: Python (Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib), Microsoft Excel, MATLAB
o Version Control/Collaboration: Jupyter Notebooks
o Data Visualization/Specialized Tools: Google Data Studio, Arena, Simulink (MATLAB)
o Programming, Scripting, and Workflow Management: Jira, Java, C++
· Skills may be gained through any combination of training, education, or work experience.
· Availability to travel once per month to Jefferson City, Missouri, for 1–2 days.
Salary: $29 per hour. No benefits offered.
